Member Care

As Christians we are called to care for one another. At St. James, we are known for caring for one another and for showing that care in practical, tangible ways; a shared meal, an offer to help, a call to congratulate in time of joy or to express concern and sorrow in a time of trouble, a note to remind someone that they are part of a larger community.

Meeting Times:
Cards or notes are mailed, as the church is made aware of the needs of our church family. Helping listening, and caring support of those experiencing crisis or problems.

Age Ranges:
Anyone wishing to help others in the church family are welcome to join the member care ministry. If you can make a phone call to encourage, listen and offer support and prayer.

Special Requirements:
If you enjoy writing notes or sending cards, this group is for you.

Goals/Mission Statement

Member care at St. James involves sharing of Pastoral ministry with clergy and lay volunteers who are there to help in times of grief, trouble and illness. We encourage, support others through prayer and coming together during difficult times.
