It is hard to believe that the count down to another new year is upon us. Does anyone else remember when the year 2000 just sounded weird and like a far away time or place??? Now we are cleaning up after Christmas 2011 and welcoming in 2012.

The past few years have brought many hardships, of different sizes and shapes, to most of us. Yet you continue to support our mission that “No child should have to pay to learn about Jesus.” We have offered 2009, 2010 & 2011 Vacation Bible School free because of all who have supported our scrapbooking fundraisers. Many people in the world say “We couldn’t have done it without you…” it seems to be the thing to say. But in this case I say it from the heart, we really couldn’t have done it without you. I consider myself blessed to have had the opportunity to do these fundraisers. I have met so many amazing women that have energized my faith, become my friends and given so much to hundreds of children. You all are truly an inspiration.

I hope this holiday brings you joy, peace and love. Remember to get extra batteries for your camera, empty your memory card and click away! Only 1 week away!

Our 11th scrapbooking fundraiser is only one week away! Thank you to all who have made it possible to offer Vacation Bible School free for 4 years now! It is hard to believe we started this with only 19 people at our first crop and now we have to tell people we are full and give them our next date. We have met so many amazing and dedicated scrapbookers.

On November 12th we will have another fun filled day planned for you. We are very excited to offer the Personal Cricut as one of our raffle prizes and many other amazing raffles. Not to mention a layout contest, Power Hour and LOTS of great cropping space! We are down to just a few spaces available. Please email me if you are interested!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!

The time has come to print your pics, gather your supplies & pack your bags! It is time to register for our annual National Scrapbooking Day Fundraiser. May 7th is the magical day, full of fun, food, friends, lots of raffles & great surprises. For all of you who have not had time to crop, now is the time. National Scrapbooking Day should never be spent without your cropping crew! We look forward to seeing all our friends and meeting new people.

Our private room has already been booked, but there is still room left in gym where all the action is. You may scrapbook with us from 10-6:00 for $25 with breakfast, lunch, dessert and munchies included. If you need more time, you may stay until 10:00 for only $10 more and we will have a catered dinner for you.

We hope you are able to come and help support our Vacation Bible School. For the past 3 years no child has had to pay to learn about Jesus, thanks to all of you. Thank you!

Make New Friends, But Keep the Old…

There are only flurries on the horizon for our January 22nd scrapbooking fundraiser. This will mark our 9th fundraiser and it just keeps growing. It is amazing all the wonderful people we have met. Thank you for all the support so that no child will have to pay to learn about Jesus!

Unfortunately we are unable to take any more registrations for this January’s crop. We welcome you to our next scrapbooking fundraiser on National Scrapbooking Day, May 7th! Below is all the information. Sorry, our online registration is temporarily down. You will have to use the snail mail:) So mark your calendar for May 7th and November 19th.

St. James Lutheran Scrapbooking Fundraiser at 4727 Sylvania Ave. Toledo 43623 10:00-10:00 $35 includes breakfast, lunch & dinner or 10:00-6:00 $25 includes breakfast & lunch. Saturday; May 7, 2011 (November 19, 2011, January 2012)

We will have our usual great space, lighting, food, fun & friends. We have lots of great raffle prizes planned, Power Hour, games & National Scrapbooking Day surprises!

Mail checks or money orders to St. James Lutheran, attn. Michelle Thielen. You can also drop off your registration at the church in the slot next to the door.

Only one week until our November 13th Scrapbooking Fundraiser. We still have a few spots available and would love to have you! You can crop from 10:00am – 10:00pm for $35 and get breakfast, lunch and dinner. Or crop from 10:00 – 6:00pm and get breakfast and lunch. Of course you will also get to do the raffles, layout contest, Power Hour… and have fun with friends.

Greetings!

Our November 13th Scrapbooking fundraiser is just weeks away. If you have not registered, now is your time to preserve your yesterdays. There are still spots available for all the festivities. Our private room was booked right away, and many groups of people have reserved their spots for all the fun. We will have product available from First Impressions, Sandy’s Kits and of course Creative Memories. You can purchase things as needed or order for delivery. There will be a massage therapist available for $1 per minute in 10 minute increments. Of course we will have our fabulous food, space and lighting!

Mark your calendars for our upcoming fundraisers on January 22, 2011 and National Scrapbooking Day, May 7, 2011. Those events will be available online in the months to come. These two dates fill up very fast, so mark your calendars and register early.

Another new offering will be Friday Mini Crops. You can rent our the private room on most any Fridays from 6:00pm – 11:00pm. All proceeds will go towards our Youth Ministries. We provide the great space and you provide the fun for only $10.00 per person! There is a minimum 5 people that must register as a group (maximum of 16 people). Fall into fun at our November 13th Fundraiser!

If you are looking to spice up your Fall layouts, but can’t find the time, we have what you need. You can join us on Saturday, November 13th for 8 or 10 hours of scrapbooking fun! We will provide our usual great space, lighting, food, raffles and lots more. You just bring all those projects that have been stacking up over the summer months.

New this time, on a first-come/first-serve basis, is a private room. You can come participate in all the festivities, food and bling, but do it in your own room. There will be a stereo available for your choice of music, seperate table for your cricuts, and plenty of space to spread out. The cost is the same for the private room. There is a minimum of 8 people in the group required and a maximum of 16 to maintain that spacious appeal. To book the room, call or email Michele. (419-885-1541 or scrapbook9@yahoo.com)

National Scrapbooking Day was a huge success and a lot of fun! We hope the sunshine you have provided to all the children is also over you. Our continued gratitude goes out to all who came to our scrapbooking fundraisers. You helped make it possible for our Vacation Bible School to be free to all children. No child will have to pay to learn about Jesus for the second year in a row! Thank you!!!

Our next fundraiser will be on Saturday, November 13, 2010. You may crop from 10:00 – 6:00 for $25 with breakfast and lunch or 10:00 – 10:00 for $35 with dinner added. We have already started to pick some great raffle prizes and look forward to cropping all these fabulous memories with you!
